This is my second post of Durga Puja series. As described earlier this is the biggest festival in West Bengal, India - the preparation begins many months earlier. We have to wait exactly one month for this festival of life. The main preparation is going on in Kumortuli where the idols of the Goddess are made. Beside this in every locality pandals are coming up and everybody is busy with their shopping for the puja days.

This snap portrays an artist in Kumortuli giving his artistic touch to the idol of Goddess Durga to make it as lively as possible. The Artists have to work in a make shift studio where no sun light enters. So his only source of light is a 100 Watt bulb. And as there is no ventilation they are forced to work in unbearable heat. But to my surprise they are producing magic year after year...
