Concentration

Peace of Mind by Sukalyan Chakraborty

In the scorching heat, unbearable pollution and deafening noise of central Calcutta (Kolkata) district Maidan is a breather. The vast lash greenery no motorable road yet stone throw distance from the central district make this place unique. Many young people come from the distant places to Kolkata in search of job. Victoria Memorial is one the most popular places for morning walk in Kolkata. And as this magnificent structure is so popular and so many people (including me) already talked a lot about this place I can't find any single new thing to say. Victoria Memorial

Victoria Memorial Kolkata travel photography by Sukalyan Chakraborty

Location: Victoria Memorial, Kolkata, India
Camera: Canon PowerShot S5 IS
Exposure: 1/125 s
Aperture: f/8
ISO: 200

The most photogenic part of Kolkata is Victoria Memorial. Though it is also very popular among the love birds for the lush greenery and total peace. For the same reason it's very popular among the photographers. As a landscape photography lover I couldn't resist myself from taking this picture in a winter evening. This picture is taken from outside the boundary wall of the north-eastern side of this grand architecture.
